Casualty: Duty Of Care
As many of you know, Casualty returned this week with a brand new ED.
A ‘Canary-like’ ED. Yes. It’s abnormally yellow :/
In this episode, there is a big car crash, followed by an explosion which was started by some idiot smoker.
There are lots of storylines in this episode, a girl running after a dog, which causes the crash, so a man can’t get to his girlfriend or ‘teacher’ to stop her taking an overdose. There’s affairs, and burst gas pipes, and basically, it’s one disaster after another.
All these casualties were meant to be taken to Saint James’ but Nick Jordan being Nick Jordan, diverts them and tells Control that Holby is ready for them.
Charlie is not sure about it but as Nick is in charge, he goes along with it.
Also, Dylan and Sam are still dealing with everyone finding out about them being married. Zoe is devastated, it’s obvious she really fancies Dylan.
Dylan flips, after finding a picture of him and Sam on their wedding day, pinned to the staffroom wall, supposedly put there by an amused Linda.
All of this is one episode you say! Well there’s more.
Lots of toxic waste in barrels had been found under the roads after a man lights a cigarette, and the whole thing bursts into flames.
The water in the ground mixes with the toxic waste, creating some kind of corrosive acid kind of thing, causing skin irritation, burns, eye damage and others on the never ending list of effects.
But, in the end, after a very hard, long struggle, all the casualties are out of either the vehicles or the scene, either in a critical condition, or still bad, but not as bad as some.
And then, a man, who tells Dylan not to let in his mums ‘weird’ boyfriend see her, (he’s about 20 and she’s about 50, )finds out that Dylan let her in. He lunges at him, but Sam, or Wonder Wife as I call her, steps in, putting the man in a headlock, and threateningly tells him to stay away from her husband…
Overall it was a very exciting and action-packed episode, and I can’t wait for next weeks now!!
